After the success of the recent Golf day and Curry night, Social Secretary Dave Gordon has been busy behind the scenes lining up the next set of social events.
Club Day
On the afternoon of Sunday 25th August we are planning to have a club day at the ground. This will include an inter club 20/20 match with John Cocks on the BBQ making everyone’s tea! It’s a good opportunity to bring the family to the ground for the day to have some fun. As this has been arranged at quite short notice we need to confirm numbers ASAP so we can cater accordingly – if you are planning on attending could you let Dave know asap at david.gordon@axawealth.co.uk
Annual Dinner and Awards Night
The MCC annual dinner and awards night will be held on Saturday 21st September. We are in the process of finalising arrangements etc. Please put this date in the diary as it will be great to have as many of us there as possible to see Rafa collect all his awards!!
Club Raffle
This will be drawn at the dinner on the 21st September. Thank you to those of you who have returned your tickets and money to me. Those of you who have not please start returning them to Dave Gordon as soon as you have finished selling them.
Remember this is our main fundraising exercise for the year to please make every effort to sell your allocation of tickets!
Fines Night
The provisional date for fines night is 31st August after the last game in The Black Horse (subject to availability of the main contributors!). All playing club members are welcome, but as a warning those who have not played regularly for the first team expect a heavy fine on arrival! The same applies to first team players who have large “pub avoidance” fines outstanding (Dave Cruickshank’s debt went into 3 figures on Saturday!!).
