Meet the New Chairman – Justin Hodges

Justin Hodges – Chairman elected 2021

Many of you will know that in 2020, we sadly lost longstanding and much-loved keystone of the club, Mike Waring. In the void that was left, Justin Hodges stepped up as acting Chairman which was confirmed permanently at the AGM.

Justin moved to Minchinhampton with his young family in 2011 and began playing for the Club immediately. As well as umpiring in the WEPL lower leagues over the years, Justin has shown a keen involvement in youth development and in 2011 began coaching the U9s, taking them to festivals and becoming the Club Welfare Officer.  Being a dad, he was keen to have his eldest learn to play and over the years has coached and run all the age groups his youngest son came through as well.

Living in Minchinhampton Justin hugely appreciates both the heritage and community feel.  He has been part of the Minchinhampton Market House management committee for many years, where the team aim to conserve its history whilst making it relevant to the modern community’s needs.  In March he officially became Chairman, something he cites as a real privilege for him.
